It really isnt. Until he invades a NATO country, or NATO intervene in someway that escalates the matter, this isnt world war 3. That's dangerous language to be using imo

I think we are absolutely on the brink of WW3 to be honest and it scares me to death.

We are not in world war 3 though. There is a big difference and the west is trying to find a balance of helping Ukraine whilst not escalating matters which is not easy.

That's because it's not immediately on our doorsteps yet. Ask all those countries that border Ukraine what they think. There are an awful lot of countries that know full well what Russia is like and what it's like to be under their rule. Ukraine knows this, which is why they use the language they do.

Well the US have been clear that they would defend those countries + they already have soldiers there so any invasion would probably result in Americans dying.

No it wouldn’t unless Biden told those troops to fight Russia. If Russia put 200,000 troops on the border, told Biden that they are taking over one of the Baltic states and to get your troops out, what would happen ? My guess would be that Germany would say it’s not worth fighting for it and Biden would agree. Then Putin will do it to the rest of the former Soviet states…..

If they are NATO states then it is war. I imagine if he invaded any other country now (highly unlikely) it would be war.
