Potentially. Putin needs a face saving result to even consider stopping. Could it include keeping Sweden and Finland out of full membership of NATO also?

I honestly can't see any outcome that doesn't reward Putin's aggression.
Edit; Its not about prevention now its about stopping it.

The alternative will letting him carry out even more aggression, sooner he's stopped the better for all...for now.
There will be no winners in this, just different degrees of a total dogs breakfast
Except maybe China, by virtue of not getting really involved, but being able to knock another nail in the wests coffin and, if they manage to pull off a cease fire thst sticks loads of face...also they dont want a strong Russia on their border.

The Bayraktar TB2 drone, with a wingspan of 12 meters (472 inches) and equipped to carry four laser-guided bombs, has disabled multiple launch rocket systems as well as taken out columns of armored tanks and personnel transporters from the air, seemingly with impunity.

To bolster their esprit de corps and demoralize the enemy, Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s defending troops have been uploading videos to social media taunting Russian troops with tales of the Bayraktar TB2’s lethal strikes executed out of the blue.

A lemur born in Kyiv zoo was even given the name Bayraktar in tribute to the drone, as revealed by the mayor of the capital and former world heavyweight champion, Vitaly Klitschko, on Telegram.

Turkey’s very first unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) may not be anywhere near as state-of-the-art as General Atomics’ MQ-9 Reaper or SkyGuardian drones. Yet its appeal lies in a brutally efficient cost-benefit ratio on the battlefield.

At a price tag estimated to be as little as $1 million, these aircraft are easily expendable compared with other high-tech armaments. And while they have a range typically limited to 150 km (93 miles), they can loiter in the air for over 24 hours, waiting for the right moment to strike.

“It gives Ukraine a new, qualitative edge over the enemy,” Lt. Col. Yuri Ignat, spokesman for the country’s Air Force Command, told Al-Monitor in an interview prior to the invasion. He claimed there were about 20 such UAVs at its disposal, “but we will not stop there.”

Interesting reading.

This reminds me when a bloke called Archie Duke shot an ostrich 'cause he was hungry and started WW1.

One of them cops a stray shell and their country retaliates, before we know it world war part 3.
I think it’s a good example of solidarity and the Russians through diplomatic channels will know roughly when to not shell.

The tweet says Major, but the rank insignia suggests Major General.

I have little faith in the Russians knowing anything on the battlefield. Perhaps Putin is bored and wants the equivalent of a royal rumble anyhow?
Putin has been humiliated by Ukraine. Cannot even imagine the levels of seethe at being shown up by one of Europe's supposedly weaker states.

I think the world including him and Xi will now understand that NATO would go through Russia like a dose of salts, if it didn't go nuclear. That is a bit of a worry though.

As others have said, mad Vlad putrid doesn't seem the type to be beaten with good grace and by the better man at anything, let alone war.

He's the kid who didn't just take the ball home if he lost the match, he stuck a knife into it.

Sadly, I'm sure he will further ramp up the atrocities and continue targeting civilians, and have his soldiers continue perpetrating war crimes, destroying beautiful cities and destroying any means of wealth generation that the Ukraine will have (agriculture etc) - it won't end anytime soon or peacefully, and I feel so sad for the working class Ukranians and Russian people forced into this fight.

He's still got his hands on Chernobyl - can see that getting lit up by him, and he will just start targeting the other nuclear reactors - God help us all.

The west should have gone in militarily to help the Ukranians already imo, and it's only on the incompetence of the Russian military and the incredible bravery and spirit of the Ukranians that it has lasted this long - we left them to suffer, and it sickens me.

Slava Ukraini!
