From the videos I’ve seen, a limited amount I must admit, the Russian soldiers have been incredibly professional and seem almost embarrassed in their exchanges with the local populations.

Its much easier to fire at civilians when you doing with artillery from far away or bombers, its anonymous and if you have guilty conscience you can convince yourself that your bombs and shells missed.

On other hand, killing someone from point blank range and watching another human being die in front of you, that stuff and images probably never gonna leave you

Actually that video makes me think its not, looks like the Russians are going in there with the intention of policing the country, and declaring it a de facto extension of Moscow, until they get rid of Zelenski and the cabal.

I think and hope casualites will be reduced to the occasional partisan activity only.

Definitely. We have all seen how they treat there own citizens doing similar in Russian cities.

What he's said isn't even correct, either.

Germany were still refusing to give any weaponry until a few days ago, UK and US etc have been sending stuff for ages (not that that's something we should laud like). Italy were one of the countries holding up anything with Swift because they're so reliant on Russian gas.
