If by taking the land in the Kursk oblast they force Russia to make a decision, re-take the area or continue with their planned capture of Pokrovsk then maybe Ukraine’s gamble will pay off.

Russia will struggle to run two simultaneous campaigns and given the pressure now bearing down on Putin - then surely he must direct his resources to liberating Russian territory. That will give Ukraine the window it needs to re-enforce its frontline in the East and protect the strategic city of Pokrovsk.

....this is what desperation in defeat looks like.

You aren't an idiot as seen you post some pretty good posts over the years, you aren't gullible either, yet on this issue you seem as do others to just completely swallow the narrative of everything fed by the MSM - believe the politicians, and believe any source coming from the Ukrainian side - with apparently zero thoughts that you may be getting completely lied to - I'll avoid the Whataboutism accusations by giving a list of past events where afterwards or during its been shown that everything was smoke and mirrors in terms of truth.

Currently watching the annual 4 hour (or so) question and answer forum Putin holds, he's just spent about 15 minutes answering multiple questions from a NBC journalist there in the audience - gave the journo the opportunity to ask follow up questions also. Would any western leader do the same for a Russian journalist?
