Not like Russia is the first country they invaded any though is it, Australia where you are allegedly from I do believe INVADED Vietnam btw, how does history judge that btw?

As for the Sudan example, yeah mate so similar. We live a life of oppression here. But by that you kinda admitted it's a internal matter - essentially a civil war

I haven’t said any of those things about you and I do understand your position given your personal situation.

I don’t agree with it though. It’s a hypothetical but if the UK invaded a country (not like we haven’t before) I wouldn’t just staunchly support that move because that’s where I live and my family are too.

I was a bit too young when the Iraq war and then Afghanistan started. But by the end I was old enough to see it as a terrible thing that I wish we had never been involved in.

I just can not and never will agree with what Putin has done in this situation. It doesn’t mean I hate all Russians or that I want this war to go on forever until Ukraine have an unlikely victory. But while Ukrainians don’t want to lay down their weapons then I think it is on us to support them.

If Ukrainians decide they want to just end it and are willing to go to the negotiating table then fine. Could be grim for the newly occupied territories but if that is what the majority of the country want then fair enough. It’s not on us to extend a war that most people that are properly involved wants.

I'll point out something btw, over 200,k people have returned to Mariople, why do so if they sre being executed , raped and their children stolen....

I don’t really care whether Russia see Ukraine as the enemy. Same way I don’t care about Israel thinking they can just bulldoze Gaza as Hamas is the enemy. Or how the US and UK went into Iraq and Afghanistan.

I understand this is the way things are done but I don’t agree with it and I don’t champion it. My feelings would be exactly the same if another country invaded Russia.

This is going to sound very happy clappy, hippyish but if everyone would just chill the **** out and actually work towards the things that really matter the World to be a better place then we’d all be much better off. It would kill this part of the forum but I think that would be a loss worth taking.

The Vietnam war is a stain on Australia’s history in my opinion. Menzies tarnished his legacy by getting involved with the US. Just as Blair did with Iraq. See how easy it is to not hide behind lazy jingoism and instead criticise your government?

Also I migrated to Australia from Liverpool in 2000, many years after the Vietnam war. So I don’t think I had any influence or need to shoulder any blame. You however are ‘supporting’ a monstrous regime just because you live there.

Here's the thing, to what extent is what is happening right now due to American and British interference in Ukraine?

Do you not think it's somewhat obscene to allow another country to lose hundreds of thousands of people dead to in theory 'protect' Europe. Kinda sounds like using them to suit your own ends really? Not very caring about Ukraine is it.

We can sit here & talk about Russia’s hard power (Ukraine, Salisbury, Syria, Africa etc) or we can talk about soft power in regards to Russian money in London, election inference, MPs being paid off etc they’re just as bad at what you accuse the States & UK at.

The simple fact is a European sovereign nation has been invaded by a far superior neighbour who has history of ethnic cleansing & war crimes in that region.

It has a history of liberating Europe from the tyranny of Nazi Germany...something desecrated by the barbaric acts of Ukrainians and the Baltic states who have smashed to pieces all the monuments in those countries erected celebrating the defeat of Nazi Germany.

They didnt do a very good job of liberating eastern Europe just basically replaced the Nazi with communist.
Parts of Formally China suffered the same fate at there hands as well.
