Account Manager for a UK / US insurance company mate. Obviously gauging staff for opinions or concerns…

We had seriously concerning conversations today at work during a teams meeting about how far this could go, I’m not normally one to concern myself with things I can’t control, however today was quite different I must admit. Lots of people on here far more knowledgeable on these matters than myself, anyone here think this could go the whole Hogg to worst case scenario?

Yup it's the only reason I post in here to try to get people to actually realise just how little it would take to tip this over

The only posters on here with a genuine knowledge of Russia and there have been four I most definitely know had that knowledge through family or experience being there - all got shouted down by the guys who seem to think they are moving in some computer game with no consequences.

But the GoT warriors want to escalate further - absolutely insane.

No idea what motivates people to want to cheer all this on - and that's what they're doing.

I cant believe they dont have family they dont care about. They have to. So Imagine having a dad or grandad posting stuff on social media advocating that this war should go on and no one should back down from a threat like this? You'd be flabbergasted knowing they'd had half / most of their lives but weren't that arsed if you had hardly any life at all in comparison. Image having parents or grandparents like that!

It's just inconceivable to me.

I’ve already commented on RS26 and its definition of it being a ICBM or not. That’s what the discussion on here’s been.

On a side note, it’s getting abit tedious both you & some other posters repeatedly on here claiming posters are warmongers & want the war to continue. It might seem like I’m nibbling here (probably) but it needs packing in.

Take your tinted glasses off and truly read certain posters posts and honestly say some aren't.

Anyone calling for constant escalation is by definition a warmonger or suicidal.

I assume your company is looking to increase insurance premiums, hence the concern?

I cant believe they dont have family they dont care about. They have to. Something on the news the other day got me thinking. Apparently it takes an ICBM something like 20 minutes to get from Russia to the UK. It almost seems pointless the authorities warning anyone that they are on their way. What can you do in 20 minutes

No, no problem mate, I assumed that. We just all thought it was strange to bring the subject up, they are a PLC so a bit over the top on HR and welfare.

Not so sure it’s just related to costing just staff concerns and I know US staff have had this conversation earlier in the week.

Fair enough mate, my work offers me a lot of insight into security levels etc but mostly around the Middle East.
