General Zaluzhny officially dismissed, General Syrsky (apparently quite unpopular general in Ukraine with a reputation of being "yes man") appointed in his place.
Rumours saying that he may have been pushing for a peace agreement.

So what are they going to do with Zaluzhny now? Filing this one under watch this space.

I read its about Zaluzhny wanting to mobilize new 500 000 men while Zelensky consider that almost impossible to do.
It would be admittance of massive losses they suffered and mobilizing so many (unmotivated) men would have massive impact on economy and morale.

Zaluzhny idea was to counteract on likely massive Russian mobilization after Putin win elections and of course currently Russians pressuring on several fronts and at least according to news Ukrainian army experiencing shortages of everything from ammunition to manpower

War of attrition usually favors much larger country that depends on itself and not mercy and political fortunes of others ([Poor language removed] that currently going in America is child play whats gonna happen if Trump win).

There are estimated only 30 million of people in Ukraine currently, nationalists and patriots (motivated people) already volunteered, now remains only mass mobilization as a option, and that stuff gonna be unpopular (reason why Zelensky dithering).
And throwing bodies at a problem is standard historical Russian strategy, there are plenty of minorities in far reaches of Russia and poor to throw yet.

You may be surprised.

If Trump wins Hamas is over and Iran will be in the crosshairs next. But I fear he will be spending time behind bars for some time. If the Democrats win Iran wins for the time being and Ukraine will be waiting for Putin to kick the bucket as he has totally misjudged his conventional power as we all have. Expect more efficient weapons to stop the mass loss of life all around.

Ukraine Russia will be a draw and the EU will have a decade to ponder on its own security. I'm sure the Baltic nations and Ex-Soviet Satellites part of NATO will lead the charge to not be complacent.

We will see what the future will hold.
