What we do know is that Russia has shown very little of its military hand so far.

If the west thinks thats some kind of green light, then thats up to them.

Ukrainians have been trained on stingers, NLAW and SMAW. the old adage of train the trainer applies as well.

I’m also wondering if we counted back in all the SF that were sent out there as trainers/advisors?

We've trained (some) troops on the weapons we've sent over, but it's getting the weapons to those people when they reach the units / front-line.

Sadly, it's often not as simple as picking them up and giving them a 5-minute introduction (maybe so with the SMAW) and more so if they don't go to regulars.

Better than nothing though. On the last point, they were being pulled out last week apparently. It's a risk keeping them there unless they're close to the border.

I do wonder if a few mercenaries (cough, cough, cough) have decided to give their services to the Ukraine.
