I'd fight for my family and pets and land, not for the government. I don't blame anyone running away either, but it depends what you care about and need to defend.

Some Germans deserted the Nazi war effort. To listen to some they were cowardly traitors. Imagine not wanting to die for nationalism, because that’s what most wars are essentially about.

No country is worth losing your life for, especially not a kleptocracy like Ukraine.

Not your country, but things that you love, as I said above. For them, it's fighting for their own freedom, their wives, kids, land etc. That's all I'm trying to say.

I'm either not explaining this very well, or there's a bunch of cowards in here, but I'd stand and fight on my own lawn to protect those that mattered to me. That doesn't mean I'd fight for the government.

You’re a proper hero in your own mind…meanwhile hundreds of thousands on both sides are dying, losing limbs or being incapacitated. Perhaps you might consider that the ‘cowards’ in here are not as tough or stupid as you are…….

This is a very tenuous comparison given both Germany and Russia are the aggressors, and clearly in the wrong (unless you disagree?), and not the defenders, no?
