By the way...that came about because the west encouraged the shock and awe carried out on the Russian people of gangsters getting hold of Russia's vast resources and privatising them. The west made Putin and his system...dont ever forget that...Russian imperial ambitions has its roots in the west.

It’s not talking about it that’s an issue, it’s just the lack of critical thought and evidence I find astonishing.

Do me a favour. The type of people who became oligarchs may have already been in the Soviet regime in the FSB etc but the cracking open of state industries to bring them to market - along with a break down in law and order - turbo charged their ability to create and build a wild west capitalist economy.

The excesses of that are why we have Putin and his turn to national chauvinism.

The West created that mess and then came along the strong man to clear it up and provide order alongside terror.

This war was ultimately made by western companies and western governments. Only a fool believes otherwise.

It's another reason why the Russian population aren;t exactly falling over themselves to dump Putin. Their experiences of the west and its values and system has traumatised them for generations.

Gorbachev opened the Soviet up before the fall of the wall as communism was failing and this was taken advantage of by the original oligarchs.

Organised crime was rife well before the change in Russia. Once Yeltsin got into power it was out of control and he had to sell the country off to the oligarchs to stay in power.

The oligarchs were the ones who put Putin into power as he protected them and the billions they stole from the country. He completed his power grab when he told the oligarchs to stay in line, or face his wrath.

Factor in increases of mortgage rates for rentals and owners, increase to energy prices, increase in the prices of food and then weapons provided, extra security measures we take.

The average mortgage is about 200k with a rate of 2% £850 a month with rate of 6% £1289 over a 25 year term. It must cost about £500 a month to everyone on average (at least working people anyway)

All this hassle to wreck Ukraine, which is what is happening, and was always going to happen. We could have wrecked it ourselves faster and cheaper.
