Thats a fairly myopic view of the conflict, its like staring at Beechers Brook only during the grand national.

The frontline is about 1,000km long, The first line of Russia's defensive line is made up of millions of mins (reportedly 60% of all Russian stocks of mines) 10 miles deep in places.

The initial advances cost Ukraine a hugh toll so they changed track and have spent weeks and weeks destroying Russian fire and logistics.

I've seen it stated Ukraine have about a dozen mixed Battalions that haven't been nesr the front line since the summer. Presumably these are going to see movement soon.

There's no question the Ukrainian forces are brave enough to take this task on for whatever length of time it takes. I just doubt that the fight gets any easier from this point on. The way things are shaping up the supplies they need to cut through the Russian lines are going to be a huge issue for them. The refusal to supply long range missiles looks like a decision to thwart any breakthrough by the US under the guise that they can also be used to strike deep into Russia which they don't want as it could escalate the conflict.

So the fortifications they face in front of them plus the diminishing political will to seriously back the Ukraine looks ominous for their military effort.

I didn't know that was a prerequisite of posting in the thread. If so there's quite a few people posting from one position...is there not...

I've stated my position: I don't support the imperialism of Washington or Moscow.

Fact is they’ve breached the Russian defensive lines and are now bringing heavy equipment through.

We’ll now see what follows
