Yet you tend to only denigrate one side

Well, having made the categorical statement that the invasion is the cause of all this and that Russia need to withdraw I don't see what condemning their particular conduct of the war adds to that. The Ukrainian leadership are my focus because they're the one's prosecuting a clueless carnage of their own people.

But feel free to offer all sides of the debate yourself...

Erm, are you suggesting Ukraine are systematically slaughtering their fellow Ukrainians?

So because you've condemned the invasion and said Russia need to withdraw, you don't need to go on about it.

But the leadership of Ukraine is your main focus and that's why you need to go on about it daily, with as many negative angles as possible.

ok

By being invaded and having 100,000s of thousands of missiles fired at them?

325m more in weapons for the criminal Kiev regime from the US

@davek As I said the new scam is to hand out not billions (as that raises eyebrows amongst the people) but hundreds of millions - every few weeks - to make it look like the weapons flow is slowing down when in fact the ante is being upped.

We are here for up to a decade imo.
Unless your man does the right thing and goes home, of course

For the most part, the American public is not interested in Ukraine or Russia. They are ill-informed thanks to non-stop dissembling coming from the Biden Administration and its subservient media. Only a relative handful of people take the initiative to seek out truthful reporting from independent outlets.

That is why I do not expect the war to be decisive in the upcoming elections.

The strongest electoral weapons that the Democrats have at their disposal are abortion rights and fear of the radical right wing Supreme Court. Those are issues that will energize voters to come out in large numbers to resist a complete takeover of the US government by right wing extremists. Biden will be propped up to make vapid, platitude-filled speeches that no one will listen to, but it may be enough.

Do you think Russia is a criminal regime?

These maps always remind me how much more work needs to be done. There is still far too much red on there
There is. But you have to be mindful that Russian troops only occupy the very thin red lines.

It’s not like Russia has troops all over the red area. Once those lines are breached its open season and the vast swathes of red will turn green very quickly.

Cultivating amnesia will work with the American public but it will not work globally … although the State dept and in the WH proceed on the assumption that all the world’s media is the NYT and CNN.

And so we return to the fundamental error Biden made in spring 2022 when he pushed Zelensky to fight on and make this an existential conflict for American power. He can’t walk away from it cleanly. The best play was to let Ukraine sign a negotiated settlement then and maintain pressure on Russia. But now the US is in too deep. Which of course leaves the US and the world in a dangerous spot: to what degree will Biden gamble on Ukraine?

I don’t see abandoning Ukraine for a pivot to China. Too much personal prestige is involved and the state department are Russia hawks first and less concerned about China at a personal opinion level.
