Can't waitThere’s never going to be a ‘Ukraine’ in nato
I live in Germany. I can assure you: this will not go on forever. Eventually, public willingness to absorb the financial costs of war will wear too thin for political parties not to take advantage of it. The Ukrainians are aware of this. They will fight for as long as they can to win as much land as they can before the inevitable reckoning. A never-ending war will lead to the rise of populist right-wingers. The Ukrainians are on the clock, and they know it.Poor analysis
Basically everything you said is wrong
The west will carry the fight on indefinitely Biden or trump regardless, and Ukraine will not be in nato or the EU

The west has drunk the kool aid
They see this as another ideological battleground like Syria is today
You’ll see. They can’t ‘afford’ to cave in to Russia
Don't delude yourself. The biggest economy in Europe will have a very significant say in all of this. And the last time the German people got properly fed up didn't end too well for anyone... Ukrainian and Russian included.Syria is my one word for you
And I can assure you Germany are not in charge of this. It doesn’t matter if the German people get fed up
That's inevitable. The bigger objective for the American political elite (and military elite) is China I would say. They won't cave in to Russia but there could be an attempt to persuade Kyiv to look to settle for something other than the total expulsion of Russian forces from their territory.

They haven't gone away you know...

Well there you go thenBiden at the UN has used his speech to address the issue of peace in Ukraine and looks to have angled it at any doubters from the global south about not allowing Russian aggression go unpunished.
He also paid a lot of attention to China and avoiding conflict there.
The counter offensive has about 2 weeks left let’s see support cut afterAnd do you think that the AfD support this? You know, the second-biggest party in Germany according to current opinion polls?
For clarity. The AfD are Nazis. Actual real ones. The originals. They are currently at over 30% in three eastern German states. Right now, the biggest party in the polls, the opposition CDU, are openly flirting with them at local level. Given the current polls, it is not impossible for them to consider doing that at federal level.
The current German government will support Ukraine for as long as they think the Ukrainians have a fighting chance of winning back as much territory as they can. But that support is expensive - financially and, potentially, electorally - and is not eternal. The Ukrainians are on the clock. They know it. When it becomes clear that Ukraine's offensive has no further mileage left in it, and western electorates are turning against a forever war, the pressure will become overwhelming to negotiate a peace deal. It's realpolitik. Even in the US right now, continued support for Ukraine is divisive. Everyone knows this cannot go on forever. Putin, above all. In fact, he's banking on it.
Thanks for that General Custer. This fella disagrees with your synopsis. The counter offensive has about 2 weeks left let’s see support cut after
Plenty of western sources telling you that if you care to lookThanks for that General Custer
