1. you have to remember despite the claims otherwise that a large percentage of people in Donbas want to be part of Russia, that’s not going to change in 5-10 years. Most have Russian passports now anyway. You won’t need to import people to maintain that balance.

2. The newly integrated areas are now formally part of Russia - no president can just write that off by walking away.

3. You must be joking if you think there are 40 million Ukrainians left. In terms of those that actually support the conflict against Russia I’d reckon there’s no more than 15-20 million left.
It doesn’t matter what the people want, it is still Ukrainian territory

Formally part of Russia?? Lol, sham elections that the world does not recognise. It is still Ukrainian territory

Your man and his plan are finished

It does matter in Russias attitude to it, fortunately. They cannot, will not walk away from it.

So, if I decide something is mine I just take it?

These are Ukrainian lands, as recognised by the civilised international community. Agreed that putin has tried to steal them and moved Russians in and Ukrainians out, it’s still Ukraine though.

Peace hinges on what Ukraine will accept in terms of territory loss. If they decide they want all of their land to remain Ukrainian then this war will rumble on. I imagine after continuing to embarrass Russia there will be an almighty stalemate with neither side willing to give (why should Ukraine have to give any land up to invasion)?

This needn’t have happened, your boy ruining millions of lives on an outdated dream

1) Russia set up a similar thing to what I said with the southern corridor, just nowhere near the numbers stated. It might be 50/50 at best for them.

2) As others have said, this is mine is not internationally recognised. The passage of time when sactions really start to bite can change all of that very quickly.

3) For now it might be lower but the people will come back. A defensive army of several million is still going to outperform an invading one that probably has less than a million.

I don’t know why people would come back? Maybe if there was peace and they had a chance to build their lives, but they won’t be rushing back into a war situation.

That means as of now you might have 7 million men in the country and around 3/4 million who are of fighting age. You still need people to deal with the infrastructure of the country. I’d say it’s on the brink of manpower collapse.

As for sanctions they’ve widely been accepted to have failed, miserably. Backfired completely in fact as it’s our economies that have been crushed rather than Russia’s.

Despite putin moving people into the same “war situation”?

Brink of a man power collapse? Lol, did you just type random words?

Sanctions are hammering many aspect s of their economy and will continue to do so - why do you think they are scraping around for weapons and munitions?

Interesting point about North Korea is that it’s unlikely that Russia actually need weapons from them, it’s more of a question of brining then into an alliance.

Putin/Russia are escalating just not in a kinetic direct manner against the west, they are escalating in unconventional ways, the latest escalation(as viewed by the West) is increased contact/ties with North Korea. This is actually a huge act as it may open the door for NK to emerge from the isolation the US has put them in for the last 20 or so years

Yep, it's a masterstroke by Putin. Form an alliance with 180th richest country in the world, that will really show the west who is boss. I heard Lesotho is waiting on his phone call too

Ignore the Mad Monk, he makes it up as he goes along.

A quick google search reveals it’s nearly three times that amount.
Heres a google for you

  • The armed forces would run out of ammunition "in a few days" if called upon to fight
  • The UK lacks the ability to defend its skies against the level of missile and drone strikes that Ukraine is enduring
  • It would take five to 10 years for the army to be able to field a war-fighting division of some 25,000 to 30,000 troops backed by tanks, artillery and helicopters

Sounds scary. Just as well they have nukes then, no one invades a country with nukes.

We've already had Kishida today asking for unconditional talks with Kim, so I think it has set alarm bells ringing.
