Da'Vek s, glorious leader is deffo gonna pinched at some point.

Well I doubt Putin is going to travel to Armenia for a state visit anytime soon so think he's safe enough.

This is just a form of protest from Armenia due to the lack of Russia's help in Nagorno-karabakh where Azerbaijan has totally blocked off the Armenian population that live there, not allowing people to leave or supplies to get in. As part of the ceasefire to end the war for the territory a Russian peacekeeping force was stationed there to keep the road open but seeing Putin's attention is firmly elsewhere Azerbaijan are free to do what they want. So that's another 100 odd thousand that have had their lives ruined as a consequence of the war in Ukraine.

Yeah, I think the poor old Armenians look cursed by geography once more.

Russia, Turkey, and Azerbaijan around them, and their only allies appear to be...Iran.

Trying to cosy up to the Americans is understandable, but very dangerous indeed for many reasons.

I don't understand it at all. I suppose it might work if Turkiye joins the EU in the mooted expansion by 2030 (and if the EU has any sense at all, they have to offer it), and him (Pashinyan) accepting that NK is a part of Azerbaijan at least opens the door to reduced tensions in the area (and removes the excuse for Russian troops to be on the ground there) but its an incredible risk to be running.

Indeed mate, some timely PR but it is welcome.

Waiting for Kev to say the Parthians were well within their rights to invade Armenia.

What does this mean?
It’s essentially a warning that there is a danger to aircraft in that zone and in order to fly in it (manned or drone) you need permission from Romanian ATC.

We’ve heard the rumours of Ru drones crashing in Romania - well this is the first real indication that they did and it’s a first level of escalatory response.

if incidents continue then the next level of escalation would be a policed air exclusion zone

I care that tens of thousand more deaths dont happen now that the war is a stalemate.

It's Trench warfare and attritional.

It has to stop.

Making grand statements from behind computers 1500 miles away about carrying on the fight is all very well, but it's other people's sons and fathers getting killed.
Ukraine surrendering will just see Russia take what it currently occupies, then giving it 5-10 years to restock and come back for more and it's back to square1.
The only route to lasting piece is unconditional surrender of Russia or Russia is officially given and occupied lands from pre invasion and the remainder of Ukraine joins NATO..
a victory for Russia will see them eventually attempt to take Moldova Georga and any other former Soviet countries not under NATO protection.
Russia cannot win this war or it's far more bloodshed, ya know what you claim to be against.

Your premise about formally recognising the newly integrated areas into Russia simply isn’t a goer as far as the western/globalist rabble are concerned

No chance they’d accept it.

Edit: I’ve seen you’ve revised your thoughts to include Crimea only into your calculation. Don’t think that will happen either particularly from Russias perspective.

To kick Russia out you’re going to need massive troop numbers on the ground. At the moment we are seeing low level attrition couple with ‘terror’ attacks from both sides.

That’s not enough imo.

I didn't say newly integrated areas I said areas that Russia occupied before February 22... namely Crimea and parts of Dombas.
