This war is all about infantry, drones and artillery. The ukes haven’t been able to properly use their western supplied armour to any real effect and the Russians have had their heavy armour systematically wiped out.

Meatgrinder is an apt term for this type of warfare.

Relatively static positions means men, machinery and equipment are vulnerable to munitions from the air - think WWI with artillery and mortar.

While the drones will still have an impact if the fighting becomes more fluid (moving), they won't have the same impact as they are now.

Oh I dunno. Tech advances with AI and swarming kamikaze drones will have a big part to play in this and any future wars. Factor in additive manufacturing of these cheap FPV drones and you can see how quickly massed swarms could be brought to bear on the battlefield. New factories springing up all over Ukraine atm.

I know. Complete delusion. Can never happen. Most Russians believe they are winning the war, and to be honest since they are closer to whats going on I tend to believe them.
