I personally think Moscow city is actually fair game.

You didnt. You said bombing a market was ok and then you used some old proverb to justify targeting civilians. Each to their own I suppose but at least own it.

There is no strategic reason for sending (presumably) a cruise missile to a shopping market, maybe if you have evidence the entire military command are shopping for shoes at the time.

A market full of shoppers cant take out S400's or logistic lines.

I was saying its a legit response to the attacks on Moscow which targeted civilian and residential areas as well. I dont see the difference between what Ukraine attempted to do and what Russia did this morning.

Breaking the will of the people, is what the Ukrainians hoped to achieve with the Moscow attacks, and is a known strategic tactic in wartime - these things do happen we cannot get around that reality.

However, this approach in Ukraine's case is ridiculous, because the Russian people are more likely to demand harsher responses knowing the trajectory their views on this conflict has followed the last 10 years.

Ukraine effectively encouraged more attacks on themselves when they are already under enough pressure from their opponent.

This was coming.

The outcome for them is a more united Russian people and of course this kind of military response.

Actually I dont think its the vast majority or even the majority in fact that want peace with Russia.

You cannot conduct a war on this scale without mass support of the population, unless you are the USA, Russia or China. Countries with the resources to carry out this kind of conflict regardless of popular opinion

Opinion polls in Ukraine show they want the war to continue.

Hundreds of thousands of Ukros are voluntarily killing themselves in the name of ultra nationalist Banderism.

I'll bet if there was a referendum that told them that they could stop the war and join the EU they'd get about 80% support to end the war.

Who could blame them. They're sons are getting steadily fed into a machine that kills or maims them for life with zero chance of operational success. If they had a political leadeship worthy of the name they'd be suing for peace and getting assurances of reconstruction aid from the west and guarantees of EU membership in the next decade.
