"Yer mar" appears to be the intellectuals go to response when there's no reasoned arguement left. If the post had referenced my son it'd been far more worrying and possibly more accurate.Condolences mate

Ah, this explains the situation in TransnistriaNot forgetting all those Transgenders.
Sobering interview.
He's mad and tired, but surely not this stupid? I imagine using any kind of nuke would evoke some conventional response from NATO. That would be very bad for Russia. I also presume Russia have been told this in no uncertain terms.Putin is mad and tired. He knows the Ukrainian situation is balls up. I can see tactical nuclear weapons being used as a temper tantrum then it gets progressively worse. Can't see anyone trending him any other way. A loner that XI doesn't know what to do with either. A liability to himself and everyone else. Captain Mainwaring said it best "Stupid Man(Boy)"

He could skirt around this by devastating a Nuclear plant and blame it on Ukraine. No telling what he wants as his endgame. He's mad and tired, but surely not this stupid? Poland is on par to be the most powerful force from NATO in the coming years. They are all in. Russia trying to overcome them will be no small feat.It is, but again the problem is that a lot of Russian policy (and especially propaganda) is making negotiations between the parties at best unlikely and in many cases the activities are actively going to make the stated aims of the Russian government that much harder to achieve. I mean, at least half of Eastern Europe thinks that they are next if Ukraine falls and so they are boosting their conventional forces massively. I wouldn't be at all surprised if at least two of them suddenly announced one morning that they have independent nuclear deterrents now either.
As I've said before, I think there should be a lot more effort in negotiations - between Ukraine and Russia, between Russia and the US, between the West and the rest of the world - with a lot more creative thought with regards to how tensions can be reduced.
I think Putin himself makes meaningful negotiations impossible,he's painted himself into a corner. If his initial aim was to use the Donbass as a buffer zone between himself and NATO,now as well as making Ukraine a certain future member. He's shot himself in the foot by forcing Finland and Sweden to join.It is, but again the problem is that a lot of Russian policy (and especially propaganda) is making negotiations between the parties at best unlikely and in many cases the activities are actively going to make the stated aims of the Russian government that much harder to achieve. I think NATO would treat that in the same way as a tactical nuke. Lets not forget that NATO probably have a better understanding of the Russia's intentions than most Russian generals - so we'd probably be able to verify their involvement very easily and react accordingly. He could skirt around this by devastating a Nuclear plant and blame it on Ukraine. You are so right. We have dissected the Russian moves over the propaganda. The technology today has provided better assessment of battlefield tactics. I have been told the Russians haven't changed script since WW II and only are now slowly changing its strategy to counter Ukraine with copy cat measures.I think NATO would treat that in the same way as a tactical nuke.
