Not sure they need an excuse to assassinate Zelensky, that was part of their plan all along.

Their lack of success or obvious efforts would suggest that they have been told by the US in the usual back channels that assassinating Zelensky would be very unwise…

I have nothing to base this on - but I think the US would view it as a severe escalation.

True now but I read part of the initial plan in the early days when they tried to take Kiev was to assassinate him and they had men on the inside that didn't turn on Zelensky. Or something like that.

Something very strange about this assassination story.

Firstly, no way would the US approve any kind of assassination attempt on Putin. It’s also unlikely Ukraine could or would attempt this without their moral and practical support.

Secondly, if it was drones, alarm bells should be ringing in the Kremlin that two drones were able to get so close to the Kremlin - seemingly without detection.

Is it a legitimate Ukrainian attack? Potentially. Could it also be disinformation and/or something Russia can use to condone the assassination of Zelensky? Also possible.

Oh I’m sure they’ve tried - but the lack of continued efforts does indicate that somebody has told Russia that they should avoid provoking a big response from NATO.

It doesn't seem very powerful and that's a pretty big building. even if he's in there I doubt 2 drones like that would do enough damage to have a chance of hitting one specific person...

Any of those 3 will be officially blamed on Ukraine.
