He’s bluffing.
There's a whole lot of people are all in on this and if they pull back will see themselves pushed out of the nearest window or drinking radioactive tea.

Right at this moment I don't think we could want a better outcome than all the fat cats ordering people to their death being eradicated themselves.

He probably is, however in terms of operational capabilities they may simply not be able to maintain an active front without ammunition supplies.

Wagner are not part of the primary chain of command or logistics system, so with the dysfunctional system Russia operates being bottom of the pile is even worse.

We'll see in a couple of days if it's true or not, however reportedly Ukraine will be starting an offensive in the region soon. If they're low on ammunition...

... and haven't prepared their defences, it could be a tough couple of days and weeks for their fighters.

I genuinely think they’re pinning their hopes on the Ukrainian army pushing through Bakhmut and not toward Crimea. Ukraine pushes through and the Russians surround them.

Thing is the Russian deep defensive lines are based around fixed defensive positions, bunkers and trenches separated by a few Km’s between lines. If the Ukes can use mobility and speed to outflank these positions then they get in between their lines and cut off the defenders in blocks. A bit like the Israeli tactics against the Egyptians in Sinai.

They’ve got some variant of the CVRTs haven’t they? Perfect for this sort of thing. Fun to drive them things.
