That's only those dying, so you'd suspect the number of wounded, captured and missing will be a minimum of three to four of that rate over the course of the war.

If they're losing eight-hundred a day, the actual number being lost from units could be close to 1,5000 - 2,000, which are absolutely barmy numbers.

Well in case of Russia families, the likelihood is they won't get the body back. If reports are to be believed, they're creating mass graves if not cremating them.

Sending lots of dead bodies back to Russia would damage morale and highlight the physical size of the losses to the population, which they don't want.

Will the families even get a pension after this horrendous war? Knowing Russia, I think a lot may lose out. This type of attrition simply isn't sustainable.

If Russia are now attacking I think they are going to get a pummelling…Ukraine haven’t been sat on the arses doing sod all, they will be prepared. I am actually feeling sorry for the poor Russians pushed into this…..

The Ukrainians have been preparing their positions and are reportedly dug in well, with mines and artillery all set up to pummel those attacking.

Let's be honest, the Ukrainians have and will continue to suffer high attrition rates themselves, but the grunts being sent into combat by Russia will be mauled.

We're talking about a chronic lack of training, armour, supplies, ammunition, discipline and morale. It'll be interesting to see how many deserters there are.

The attacks from tanks and vehicles will also be be closely observed by satellite to identify mine free areas for counter attacks…Russia will get battered here…..
