If they're expecting a Russian attack and ground to become loose, you'd suspect a few of these tanks will be put in a hull-down position along key routes.Guess its gonna be useful as fire support to infantry and attacking fortified positions. Tank vs tank warfare is quite rare, even during ww2, despite like of Tigers, Panthers etc... being so mythologized
Dig a hole, drive them in and let the L7 do the work, which should still do enough to stop a lot of their MBTs at a decent range. IFVs and APCs will be easy picking.
Reverse them out, move to a new position and do the work. They'll be vulnerable to AT rounds, especially up-and-down PGMs, but so are most MBTs.
When they're in a hull-down position, this will reduce the risk of being observed and limit the chance of return fire.
