If North Korea make a push too, then that opens up too many fronts. As long as Russia is sucking up resources, China will be sitting on their hands until they think it's in their favour. It might now suit the USA and NATO for a prolonged frozen conflict in Ukraine to keep Russia out of the picture with minimal input from them.

Yup it’s coming for sure. Russia has altered its tactics of late. They will use waves of infantry backed up by massed artillery to break Ukranian lines. Just hope the Ukes can get the Bradley and Marder equipped brigades in the right positions to outflank them and launch counter offensives.

Fire and manoeuvre and whoever masters this art will determine who wins the next phase of the war.

Yup. They seem to have no regard for human life. They use their own troops to draw fire from Ukrainian positions so that they can zero in on them with their arty.

They don’t give a toss about their own troops, effectively using them as bait. Like you said it’s akin to WWI /II and Korean War tactics.
