The basic Abrams M1A2 will obliterate anything the Russians have on offer. This will be the game changer to see if Putin has the staying power to continue his aggression or amp it up. Expect a quicker solution now to end this conflict.

Challenger, Leopard II and Abrams what a lineup to take care of business.
Industrial wars vs peers are not won by dozens of "wunderwaffe", especially not in battleground without air superiority where killer drones and portable anti tank weapons dominate. Majority of armor losses come from drones and anti tank weapons, Russian Telegram channels are for example full of lancet kills same as Ukrainian are full of Javelins.

Abrams and Leopards gonna get destroyed in same way as they get destroyed in Yemen and Syria, they gonna help for sure, but few dozens of tanks are not war winning weapons as much as Tigers were not for Germans in ww2. This is war of attrition, winner gonna be the one who outlast their opponent like in any peer vs peer industrial war.

Also tank vs tank combat is rare, only few examples so far in this war

If used properly in Armoured Bde organisations with air support, air defence cover, artillery support and screened by trained capable infantry they will make a massive difference.

They will be able to see and kill Russian armour before Russians can even engage them at range.

Of course loitering kamikaze drones are an issue - but in the grand scheme of things if Ukraine can equip 3 full brigades with these tanks then it’s game on

I can see your perspective as Ukraine has had to resort to tactics the west has taught them which has been extraordinary in the demise of the Russian machine.
Don't discount the brutal armament that few countries enjoy and will have a hard time to defend. The dynamic now changes in the conventual sense.

Again, Russia is tired and can't bully anyone. Nobody remotely believes them as Putin is now ranting at the Baltic states being full of Nazis. The end is nearer one way or the other.

What reserves of tanks do the allies have?
Are Germany producing more? - Specifically, have they surged production over the last six months?
Who'd have thought with reserves of gas up and winter ending there'd be a change in tact.
Gotta be the Americans this, convincing russias neighbours that they haven't the capacity to up the stakes let alone drag out heightened conflict. How many of the released prisoners have they got left? how many conscripts are they relying on wave after wave? Whens another russian ship or bridge due for demolition?

Russia understands they are on limited time. Check out the recent rhetoric. They have completely mis-played their hand it seems.

Loads of Leopards spread out among various nations all sitting in storage, approx 2000. The US has a full forward deployed armoured brigade in Poland with approx 80 M1A2’s. The U.K. has 14 CR2 in Poland (soon to be moved to Ukraine) and a further 24 in Estonia.

Are these vehicles being replaced like for like or better? It's all well and good an initial injection, the follow up rounds are the tellers...

These are all spare. The U.K. is upgrading CR2 to CR3 standard but the ones deployed in Europe will not be upgraded so they’re spare.

Poland’s Leopards are being replaced by US Abraham’s M1A2’s,

The US will transfer M1A2’s from its forward deployed hardware then backfill.

Cool, have the yanks been upping production in prep for a calculated loss?

TBF as with everything it depends on how they are used. If they do what the Russians did at the start of the war and send most of them down the same road then they probably won't change anything. If they do something else with them like break through the Russian lines and drive into the rear areas forcing a retreat then they probably will change a lot (the same applies of course if the Russians do that).

So Scholz has made himself and his country look like wimps before the inevitable U turn…pillock…..

Your absolutely pulling everyone’s leg with your comments. Do you really believe what you are saying. Most Western countries understand the support needed with Tanks sadly the Russian’s still use WWII tactics.
