This is in Russia's playbook.
Its interesting, cause Russia used same tactic against Austria-Hungary century ago as they now using vs EU. Basically back then they funded and used so called "Pan-Slavism" movement (Russia as leader and savior of all Slavic people) where they funded separatist organizations inside A-H Empire and tried to sow internal discord, classic "divide and conquer".

Same playbook now, but i guess thats the weakness of the multi-national states/organizations to be exploited.

100+ Leopards being donated by a coalition of 12 countries apparently. Also 30-50 Abrams being sent by the US supposedly.

Poland had pretty much declared they were sending their stock of Leopard IIs, whether Germany agreed or not, so I think it was going to come.

Germany’s support is more important in terms of servicing, providing spare parts and whatnot.

Not really, Poland only sending 14 and i doubt they would send them without German permission, simply because it would be useless without German manufacturers spares and other important stuff. After all, despite weeks of back and forth they only yesterday sent official request to Berlin. Poland PIS love their cheap PR points and easiest (internal) PR points come from their obsession with Germany and constant "its all Germany fault".

German permission is important because now Finland, Norway, Czechs, Spain and Germany itself can send 14-15 each and collectively that actually make significant force and not simply symbolic number by single country. And of course servicing and repair by Germans.

Also politically Germans now can pretend they were forced/pressured by Americans (Russian Telegram channels already repeating that mantra) so in future they could repair their relations with Russia easier.

Most importantly, Germany now has the Americans onside if these tanks do indeed cause some kind of horrible escalation. In reality, they may also feel that such an escalation that specifically targets them is less likely now the Americans are also in the firing line.

Wow, this is awesome, if it happens, also today apparently Switzerland have removed all restrictions on third party countries giving/selling Swiss made munitions like shells for the Gepard air defense system to Ukraine.
