I’d exoect those trends to contine, especiially if gas prcies rise and we slide into a recession. So the GOP are far more likely to reduce it than if Dems retain the House. Yup. They know they’ve been beaten in the Kherson Oblast. So they’ll pull back over the Dnipro and then blow the dam at Nova Khakovka (and blame it in the Ukes of course). Then they’ll level Kherson. I’ve a bad feeling also that they’ll use chemical weapons there as well.

The thing with Nazi’s is they tend to invade other countries and commit genocide, there is one country doing that right now, the one who’s supreme leader openly courts self confessed Nazi’s( I already posted the photos, feel free to comment on them) . The other has a Jewish President.

Oh I fully agree that Russia is a right wing authoritarian state which clearly exhibits criteria that mean it is fascist.

It probably doesn't qualify as Nazi however. The one key criteria of eradication of the Nazi's untermenschen is not met. Invasion of other countries does not make you a Nazi state - it just makes you a contemptible bully in this case. However that's merely a quibble as Russia is clearly operating from the same pernicious and evil belief as the nazis in their invasion of Ukraine.

Ukraine has a very similar problem with regards to ultra-nationalistic groups who cross the threshold of being considered Nazis. Whatever happens in Ukraine, we'll be left with a serious problem with the rise of fascism (and Nazism) throughout Europe. My comment on your photos was just to highlight the fact that the same people are actively promoting the same agenda in Ukraine too.

Whilst backing Ukraine is the right thing to do against Russian aggression, my worry is that no matter the result we'll be left with 2 extremely disgruntled countries that feel aggrieved and this will flair up again and again until one side capitulates completely. Russia will not be brought to heel as per post war Germany so won't need to mend its way, and if Ukraine falls then it will embolden further land grabs by any rogue state. And part of reason that this will carry on is the insidious fascist/ nationalist ideologies that are rife in the region.

TLDR: It's a complete Liz Truss of a situation and it's going to take more than what's happening now to ever get to a conclusion that would bring peace and harmony there.
