Interestingly the new laws do impact Moscow regions, although not to same extent as the border/occupied ones. Going to be very interesting to see how aggressively they implement the controls (especially transport) and what citizen reaction is.

It’s their mindset. They evolved this way due to living for centuries under totalitarianism governed by one despot after the next,

They see Moscow as the centre of the known world and Washington as the great Satan. They believe that anything detrimental to their perceived utopia is the work of the U.S, therefore Ukraines fight for freedom is seen as ultimately the work of Washington.

They have no concept of the term free press. The media is there to serve the state and not it’s citizens, in fact the media is encouraged by the state to manipulate its citizens to enforce the states view of the world.

Muscovites see all other foreign political entities as competitors in a zero sum game, therefore they wrongly assume that they all must view Muscovy in the same way and are therefore labelled as a threat which must be defended against.

They are really messed up
