You cant have a discussion with people like him.The beginning reminded me of how the UK kept interfering with mainland politics before WW2 and butting in the way of the German nation, who promised they would never attack Poland.
Reckon the UK should've just rolled over and given up during WW2 as well, instead of getting allies on their side and gearing for war.

I don't think (well, hope anyway) that it is. Neither side looks like it is absolutely going to lose (which might trigger a panicked response) and there aren't obvious opportunities for them to "win" either that might reward adventurism. Putin might (as I said earlier) actively want a long war anyway because of the economic damage it is doing to the west, especially us and the EU.
The entire world does need to start demanding realistic negotiations though because this is such a dangerous state of affairs that something completely unexpected (an asteroid hitting part of Russia or Ukraine for example, or an air crash that kills Putin or some other prominent leader) could trigger something that noone involved wants.
Yeah but who pressures who into what - Putin wouldn't want to be a failure, Zelenskiy won't give up Ukraine (which is what Putin wants), so this stalemate will stay a bit longer, probably.
The last part - I think half the world is hoping something or someone kills Putin at this point...
