He's enjoyed considerable success mining that level for talent. I thought Gera would've been a good fit for Everton this season (Proven player at this level, creative in attack, and a good presence to have around the clubhouse.).
Moyes is right to be judicious in purchasing at that level. For every winner like Cahill there seem to be several more like an Akinbiyi who are plainly out of their element in the Premiership.
Moyes, and more importantly his scouts, have a solid grasp on judging talent at that level. If this rumour doesn't come to pass, then we may very well need that skill will come into play for us again this season.

if this is true, i'd love Everton to hold off any announcements until the match. No need to put it on the OS. The game is nearly sold out anyway, and it will counter the "bring your boots" campaign, which incidentally, I think is a great Everton type "protest".

I got my hopes up over this, as i usully do when reading bullshit rumours. Just finished trawling through the 31 pages of utter tosh and arse kissing on kipper. People seem to think he is the same guy who said about manny moving into an appartment in january, when all he says is something like "i cant remember what i said". I can't believe this has gathered so much pace. If you are having doubts, go and read the thread on kipper. Besides if we had any players coming for a medical, the fee would have been aggreed and it would be plastered all over the papers, we all know this club is useless at keeping things hush hush.
