Transfer Window Summary

Good window in my opinion. Bit light at middle of defense but maybe Holgate can step up and also might give Gibson or Feeney who are both good players a chance . Outgoing all ok for me. Gueye wanted out and never thought he was that great anyway - Lookman hated us and the rest just needed to go. Still time to offload miralles and Niasse in European window and Tosun worth another season

Iwobi could be very good for us and very excited to see keane

Expect to sign a centre back and strengthen again in January.

Are we now a better team / squad than in may - Big yes from me

Love the bold writing, how do you do that mate? Genuine question btw

Re Centre back.

Who else could we have got which would have represented value?

Tomori was all but done. We wanted Zouma and settled for Tomori.

Would you rather we pay 60m plus for Ake or 50m plus for Tarkowski?
As soon as zouma made those comments weeks ago about wanting to stay at Chelsea, I would have gone straight to Newcastle and got Fabian Schar in, who were managerless at the time.

Aren’t you just a ray of sunshine @skumar55

Terrible signing. Tease us with costa and Pepe and we get Delph

We need a proven goal scorer. I’d go back for Lukaku maybe.

Sack everyone ! If anyone thinks we are stronger after this window you are clueless

Same old Everton, same old Everton fooling fans

Weak defensively, weak at wingers. Terrible

Go have a lie down.

If we could have shifted Bolasie, Walcott and Niasse on permanent moves, in addition to everything we did do, then it would be a 9/10 for me.

Agree with all the comments noting the failure to bring in an experienced, pacy CB but it also has to be noted that we spent big on Mina last season and he *should* be starting 75% of our fixtures. Plus the market for CBs got royally screwed by the ridiculous fee for Maguire.

As for Zaha... he just isn't worth the fee Palace were asking. Simple as that. Plus, spaffing nearly £100m on one player when you multiple positions that need upgrading is a VERY silly approach. You limit your ability to address other areas of need AND leave yourself vulnerable - one injury and £100m of your recent transfer spend is out for weeks, maybe months. Iwobi at £28m to £34m is a much better investment IMHO.

If we can somehow move Bolasie, Walcott and Niasse in the next couple days for a combined £20m to £30m, we will be well-positioned to dip back into the market in January. Trimming the wage bill and recouping transfer fees is NEVER a bad move.

7/10 for me.

My problem with Everton is that we can't get the balance right. Have a goal scoring machine in Lukaku but a poorish defense. Fix the defense, but sold the striker and not replaced him.

Now? Back to fixing our attacking issues, but weaken our defense.

When will those that be realise it will be mid table mediocrity until they get the balance right?

Great synopsis @Bungle. Tbh, I don’t know much about any of the lads we have signed, but they have good reputations and I’m excited to see how it all develops. I trust Brands and Silva and am hoping for good things
