Re Centre back.

Who else could we have got which would have represented value?

Tomori was all but done. We wanted Zouma and settled for Tomori.

Would you rather we pay 60m plus for Ake or 50m plus for Tarkowski?

We should have had an option abroad. Even someone experienced as cover.

I genuinely think there's an argument to look for an experienced free agent out there if someone is available.

When I qualified as a proper grade A, best degree you can get boss dancer at RADA I started my own tap dance school up and the person who is in the video is a good friend called Cuthbert Chits-Gallore who qualified from the rival school called LAMDA (look it up I ain't lying) . What he's dancing there is contemporary tap/jaz/rap which he learned at my Monday morning (50p if you bring a friend) class.

He's an Aston Villa fan so it's a shame to see the knobhead stoop so low in wearing a Newcastle shirt.

I got my A grade football licence recently. On my pro now. Its aint easy so i can imagine what tap dancing badges are like. Bet you have to do more demos than us.

As pleasing as our early business was, the failure to get zaha and a quality centre back in, has cost us a chance of getting in the top 6. We will be more entertaining to watch, great energy and pace in it, but still a little short in quality.

I've got an NVQ level 2 in football coaching mate which I think is the equivalent to a surgeons degree so if you need any help let me know, I've still got loads of felt tip pens from the coaching sessions I was drawing up

Do you think brands et Al wont consider the free market?

The abroad option may not representrd value. We wouldn't have got mina for 27m this window. It would have been nearer 40.

I'm happy with it overall

Would have been a lot happier with a CB but we all think that so no point going into it

The question is : have we closed the gap in terms of quality to any of the teams above us? I'd suggest that we now have a stronger team (and maybe squad) than Man Utd - their midfield options are utterly horrific and their fans are fuming at the moment. Also think we've gotten closer to Chelsea, especially with them losing Hazard and the transfer ban.

Arsenal and Spurs have done demoralisingly decent business late on in the window (especially Spurs)

Rome wasn't built in a day and all that

Good window in my opinion. Bit light at middle of defense but maybe Holgate can step up and also might give Gibson or Feeney who are both good players a chance . Outgoing all ok for me. Gueye wanted out and never thought he was that great anyway - Lookman hated us and the rest just needed to go. Still time to offload miralles and Niasse in European window and Tosun worth another season

Iwobi could be very good for us and very excited to see keane

Expect to sign a centre back and strengthen again in January.

Are we now a better team / squad than in may - Big yes from me

I'm disappointed that they hadn't one option lined up abroad. The cost would have been well worth it.

We will need cover in January now anyway, even if it's only short term.
