I love the new ground and have a great seat with plenty of good to say, there’s obviously a lot that can be improved in the summer like toilets etc. However, my main issue at the moment which is making match days increasingly difficult is the music and public address announcements, they are horrific. I don’t want to say names so I’ll just refer to the job role firstly:

1. Main public address announcer - I know he’s something of a local celebrity and has history on the radio but I can’t believe he’s got the job, he struggles to announce players names often mispronounces players names when announcing teams or substitutions it’s embarrassing, I get the names are sometimes difficult to pronounce but it’s literally his job to do the homework and find a way to cope, see for example much less paid journalists have notes when commentating which is much more difficult. Also, he often makes mistakes one that comes to mind is announcing the wrong substitution because he saw the number flash up and presumed Barry was being hooked. 🤦‍♂️ Seriously hope the club look at the role I regularly attend aways and he’s got to be the worst in the league.

Music - I don’t know if this ties in with the job above? However, the music is a mess! Why are we getting mis-timed Z-Cars? multiple repeats of the siren? Also we’re forever Everton is way too loud you can’t hear the person next to you sing the song never mind the atmosphere it’s supposed to produce, let the fans sing? Why has the music become so loud, I literally sit middle of the south lower so nowhere near the speakers and I can’t hear myself think, must be awful for those higher up the stands?

I’m 36 not 85 so don’t think I’m just a moaning old fart. New ground is great the pre match entertainment is not and ongoing announcements are dreadful.

I've noticed the music seems to be a bit all over the gaff since we moved over. Not the biggest issue in the grand scheme of things given how we're playing but yeah. There She Goes should be straight before Z Cars now I think, it just suits the club.

Toilets didn't seem too bad for me and I'm saying that as someone with Crohn's & a stoma. Pretty clean compared to the Goodison toilets. They just need more cubicles as sometimes waiting isn't easy.

Anyone got a line on that version of 'we shall not be moved' yet?

And was it the brentford game when the repeated 'stadium exercise' announcement was hammered about 6 times? Was to loud and seemed unnecessary. Who stuffed up with z-cars and the sirens when the team wasn't even out of the changies?
Yes Brentford was particularly bad.

Just before pens yesterday they played Z-Cars really loud but it was like they weren’t able to turn it off as it kept going so you couldn’t hear anything crowd were trying to get going in South Jordan Pickford song but faded out due to music! Think given chance ground would have all sung that song if it wasn’t for the music.

Granit Xhaka was seen saying “what the f is this” to music at one stage 😂😂

One of the games recently, Brentford I think, we were still in the dressing room when they were lined up in the tunnel , hence the Siren was sounded early and went on for a while until we were ready to walk out. An explanation of why it went on for so long, you’d have thought there would be communication between tunnel and announcer / music player.

Released in late 1965, The Seekers "We shall not be moved", was the B-side to the aptly named "The carnival is over".

I ha

Season ticket holder South stand.
Hate the ground, it will never feel like Everton's home but just somewhere where we have to play our home games.
But there is far too much sound effects at modern stadia, I agree.
