A morale boost? The lad can hardly pass a ball anymore. He'd probably bugger off to play a qualifier against Dobo for the Eurasia Credit Cup half way through anyway.

The lad was a beast for us prior to his last season and left just at the right time, probably Moyes best signing and almost single-handedly personified what Everton was under him...but don't let pure sentimentality blind the fact that he was appalling to watch for us in the twilight of his career here.

Imagine the scenes if Moyes got him for Utd.
