God no.

Painful to watch for his last 18 months at the top level, can't imagine how underwhelming he'll be after plying his trade in the Wendy's Bacon Slider-League.

I don't have a problem with him coming for a couple of months to make some substitute appearances at boost morale in the dressing room. The guy has an aura about him and I don't think we should underestimate the positive effect that having someone like him around could have on the other players.

Especially with Moyes and Neville gone it would be good to have someone with a lot of spirit to fire the boys up.

I wouldn't mind him coming to train with us but I don't think he's good enough to be on the bench for us. He's Super Tim Cahill but just not on the pitch any more.

No, that ship has sailed. He left on a high at the end of the season, he's not good enough for us anymore.

If he left a season earlier he would have left on a high. He left after his worst performing season for us. After a year and a half of only scoring two goals or sometihng like that.

9 years to the day since he joined us.

His Twitter page makes a great read - retweeting loads of Evertonians and posting this message:

@Tim_Cahill: Thanks for all the messages from @Everton supporters. 9 years today since I was introduced to my Blue Family. Priceless memories #Everton

His son also put a tweet saying "9 years today since my Dad left (joined) his team", and Cahill corrected him saying "our team".

Proper blue, and a great player.

Nice one Tim

I didn't think I'd get the feels I got when he went. Even when I knew he was past it.

Same. I wanted him to go for the good of the team, but when he did I was proper gutted. Saw it when waiting to go out on holiday and sat there silent for about 10 minutes.

He was one of the few along with Lescott and Fellaini that never seemed to give a shiit about who we were playing or their reputation.

Knew what the club meant to the fans & respected it by playing the way fans would play...hard and take no prisoners. It always seemed that it was never about money for Tim, unlike others.
