He and the club have already done that. Do you want them to do it every week?

He said he is an Everton player unless he is told other wise yeah.

If you think that is enough 'clarification' that he will be in out kit next season, then your an easily pleased man.

As for the club...

"Andy Johnson will not be sold".

That's all.

Im just saying they have already said he isnt for sale and Lescott has already said twice that he wants to stay. Maybe the 2nd time he wasnt very convincing, but he still said the words.

But I agree with the first point you made, I would rate the chances of Lescott staying at around 65%.

I think due to the respect we have for our players, the decision will lie with Lescott over his future. If City make a bid and he says "I want to go", we wont stand in his way.

So yeah, I'm convinced (about 60%) with Everton's statement, but either way, the decision is with Lescott, and that's whom I have my doubt over weather he want's to be be here much longer or not.

The key will be what we do really. If when he came into training today, he went and spoke with Moyes and Moyes said "Well we tried to get Michael Owen and tomorrow we are going to get Paul Scholes". Well hes gonna be up that M6 before hes even got changed.

Exactly. Not sending out the best of messages are we.

"Ahh good afternoon Joao. Well, we tried to sign Paul Scholes the other day, you know that 34 year old, but we never, so, stuck with you I'm afraid".

Bill said all that without saying a word.

You did mate, you said our midfeild bar Arteta was full of stop gap layers? No?

Cahill's best position is in an advanced position, behind the striker. I think we all know that, that's where you include him in your predicted teams, as do I.

I was talking about central midfield, out and out central midfield.

So given the choice, you would play Scholes over Cahill?

With Fellaini and Scholes in our midfield it would certainly increase the yellow card count as neither can tackle and pace will be sadly lacking. As I have said before I reckon it will be a step backwards.
I can't imagine him being satisfied to warm our bench for the season either. No- goer in my book(n)(n)
