Player Valuation: £35m
Don't know if this has already been mentioned, so many threads that have gone off topic, but the Sunday Express had an item on Tim Cahill today.

They say he has confided in friends in Oz that he is fed up with the British weather and fancies a switch to Spain or Italy when his contract runs out next year!

The Guardian had a rumour last week about him being a target for United, which I thought was utter bollux at the time, but seeing this today, no smoke without fire?

We cannot afford to lose a player like Timmy, but even more importantly, we definitely can't afford to let him go for nothing next year! Are the board thinking of cashing in??? :o

If he's fed up with the weather he will go back to Australia. And I wwould be surprised if he did after the world cup

I believe the rumour was started in the Sky Sports transfer talk section, by a Spurs fan. Don't believe a single word of it. Think Cahill will sign one new contract at Everton, before moving back to Australia.

Think its a load of made up s*** he's been playin in england since 1997! has he just woke up and realised the weather is awful here... i don't think so  think he's happy here and still has unfinished business with us, like winning sum silverware

He also signed a contract extension in 2007 which lasts until 2012. Another example of piss poor research from the papers:rant:

I don't often say this but... thread closed.(n)

I honestly think this rumour started here;

Sky Sports | Football | Paper Talk
Andy Cross (Tottenham Hotspur fan) says...

I'm currently in Australia working and went into a bank in Sydney near where Tim Cahill grew up, got chatting to a member of staff who went to school with Tim and is a family friend, and he tells me Mr Cahill wants to leave England (hates the weather) with Italy his prefered destination, either this season or next! Ciao!

I'll laugh at it now as I laughed at it then.

He has been in England for 12 years... Thats some time to suddenly decide he doesn't like the weather and wants to move.

As far as modern players go , Timmy is the bollox . HE said how much he loves it here . HE said why he got the Tattoo . It may happen , tho I personaly doubt it . It would also shatter the flimsy belief I have in modern day players .
Timmy remains however , a blue legend .
Player of the noughties by a mile .

He will end his career in Australia. But it will already be over by then, he will stay with us untill he cant give anymore, then he will leave.

Alright then technically he'll finish his career with us (y)

He'll also be buried in a giant Everton crest coffin, in a blue field, with a giant iron statue of himself boxing the corner flag as a gravestone.b)

Cahill is one player that I can say without a shadow of doubt will not leave, Arteta 99%, Lescott 95%, Cahill 100% not going

You where doing well 'till Lescott.

Funny, he's off holiday, yet no clarification on his future.
