Cahill's best position is in an advanced position, behind the striker. I think we all know that, that's where you include him in your predicted teams, as do I.

I was talking about central midfield, out and out central midfield.

Oh central midfeild got ya, played deep and did well IMO after Arteta got injured to be fair.

Does that make him a makeshift striker or midfeilder

With Fellaini and Scholes in our midfield it would certainly increase the yellow card count as neither can tackle and pace will be sadly lacking. As I have said before I reckon it will be a step backwards.
I can't imagine him being satisfied to warm our bench for the season either. No- goer in my book

It's a simple fact Scholes and Neville would be a disastrous pairing. Probably one of the worst midfield pairings on show in the Premiership.

And if Arteta got injured, that's what we would be in for :blink:

No, that ship has sailed. He left on a high at the end of the season, he's not good enough for us anymore.
