Instead of negative repping me use your brain......

I clearly wrote BUT FOR THE PRICES QUOTED WOULD HAVE COME HERE.

Obviously those would be similar prices to those of Dempsey and Donovan.

Zat, I neg repped you for the negative political attack you made. No room for that on a football forum.

As for petty offense like telling me to use my brain, accept the reality that you have ignored everyone of my questions.

But for the prices would have come here doesn't actually guarantee they would have come here. Because they still aren't here.

i'll revert to my prior challenges, I am curious as to who you think fit all of the criteria.

For how long 2-3 seasons ?

Whats wrong with signing younger players....grooming them and integrating them -- then selling them and buying 2 more young players with the inflated fee we would receive...

then sell one or both of those 2 and sign 4 -- and the cycle starts again. It's the only way Everton Football Club makes money -- player trading.

Player trading shouldnt be signing 2 players who have 2-3 seasons left in them.

How many players under Moyes have been groomed and integrated into the first team? The 12m few for Rodwell didn't seem too inflated to me.

If you always buy the young players and your team never improves from 7th place finish, youre gonna find it hard to hold on to these "potential rooneys" you're signing.

I put the comment down in response to being Anti-American -- which i believe fits an agenda.

As for your questions I havent seen any which i havent responded to.

with the squad we have now, we need a right winger and a behind the striker. those to just happen to be American and happen to improve our squad massively..if only for 2 or 3 seasons.

we could get investment by then or a new owner.......well you never know, bill could drop dead.

And please tell me when these young players have improved the team, moved the team into Europe/CL and then we sell them. That's what I'm saying: waiting for them to mature enough to really help the team get to where they want/need to be (Europe/CL) only to sell them .... we're forever looking to the future and the future isn't realized.

And your earlier comment about these young players lasting a decade at the Blues - uh, that ain't happening. Once they begin to realize their potential, they are sold, just as you say.

Bring in LD, who can help now and for the next 3 or 4 season to move up, get into Europe/CL, which brings in money to buy these young players you want.

Sometimes it makes sense and good business to live in the here and now. If this is only about making money on transfers, then what's the point of even watching/cheering? There needs to be results on the field sometimes and hopes and dreams of the top of the table.

Yep, and he's torn it up.

No, wait. If Donovan shows up, Coleman will never see the pitch.

Is that what you're trying to say?

Huh ? Coleman was in the PFA select young players list 2 seasons ago which isnt bad for a 60k GBP signing is it?

I'm clearly stating that there are players who can be signed and who Moyes has identified in the past who would be younger and potentially far more superior to these 2 players who would soon be over the hill.

They are on a downward spiral....signing players at their peak is madness for this club, we should be selling them at their peak for a massive price and reinvesting.

We could dream.....signing these 2 players is something LIVERPOOL would do.

I'm flabergasted that people think signing 2 more americans would lead to big investment from US -- it wont happen.

These 2 questions. Am looking for current players that the criteria applies to

Find a young player who we can sign in our budget, wants to come play for us, and would immediately improve our first team. I'm curious as to who fits that criteria.

Challenge #2: Find a player who fits our wage structure, valuated around 17m and doesn't play for a Champions League (or Europa League) team, and would strengthen our first team, preferably in positions that everyone has been calling for improvement in.

Calm down lads. It's all going to hinge on what Moyes wants. Donovan will be a toffee and he is world class and will bring a different attitude and dimension to us and will not break the bank. Dempsey had his chance to impress Moyes four or five years ago but something about the Texan didn't click and it won't click for us for 9 million.

The only thing I agree with the range of Zatara comments was his view on Obumma. The sad fact he is probably a shoe in for the next four years. Senator Proxmire would have had a special Golden fleece award for him.

12mil is a shocking fee.....however then look at Fellaini 15mil spent and now our top player and worth 15mil +

Those are the signings we should be making for lower fees and at younger ages.

Baines improved the side + Fellaini those are the young players who could be signed with similar fees. Who would improve the side no end.

Whats the guarantee signing these 2 would make champions league -- as UEFA league pays hardly anything.

Rodwell could have been worth much much more if he had reached his potential.

What happens if all of these young players with potential don't come to fruition? They are risks, risks we can't afford to be taking.

Player trading shouldnt be signing 2 players who have 2-3 seasons left in them.

The problem however, and one that I'm sure you're aware of being a long time football supporter, is that it's an inexact science.

Show me a club who regularly churns out players from their youth system anymore. Ajax of the 90's used to but even now, very few clubs have a successful track record of doing that. It's a very hit and miss proposition with youth/younger players now and frankly, most managers at the Premier League level, whose jobs are under hourly scrutiny, aren't going to risk it.

So you can bet that while Moyes advocates the development of youth players, as do most all managers, they're going to buy the players that they think can contribute now.
