The Inevitable Return Of Wayne Rooney

Lets be honest wayne rooney wasnt just a very good player he was going to be one of the best in the world.

He left for man utd who were one of the biggest clubs in the world and the squad he left here was poor.

I was gutted when he left... Really gutted but expected it to happen. He was ambitious and wanted to play in champ league finals ect which was never going to happen here.

If he comes back in 2015 on a free all will be fogotten from my point of view and he will have plenty to offer still then.

I do believe he will prove himself as a true blue and do that and as a ambitious world class footballer i dont think we could of asked anymore of him!

It's not him leaving, it's the way he left.

Compare Lescott to Pienaar. Pienaar gave his all for us in every game, never complained, never forced a move. He simply played as he was expected to and when a bid came in he decided he wanted to leave.

Lescott forced a move for money (City weren't even in Europe when he went there), and took a big dump on us with his performances and general attitude towards the club. I'll never forgive him for that Arsenal game.

He said very little and only put a formal request in when told to by the club. He didn't belittle Everton or anybody else when he left.

If you think getting a hiding off Arsenal was down to him not bothering you either werent there or didn't watch it. It was down to us not being prepared for the season and playing a side full of pace and movement.

Everybody with a modicum of sense knew where City were going the minute the Arabs took over.

I was at the Arsenal game, the fans showed him support, support which he ignored, he then basically watched as Arsenal score 6, he didnt put in 1 tackle all game and watched as Arsenal tore us apart.

If you think any differently, then may god have mercy on your eyes.

If you believed what people are saying about the summer, I would approximate we will be in League One by the time he's 30.
(I have no idea what people are saying about the summer).

He'll be back around his 30th birthday, according to ITKs.

ye right, he will go where the money is as he always has done.
He probably will return here, but not untl he is way past it and the chance of him getting into the bigger teams has gone.
saying that if a team from abroad like china offered him 200k a week, i can see him going there instead, or even the MLS for the life style.

Rooney is a fan no doubt about that, but he has shown he thinks about himself first rather then loyalty, shown with us and united when he asked them for 250k a week

Seriously you should put all of these predictions at the bottom of your posts, add the pienaar deal for around 2m in there aswell

Pretty sure he went to United because they were the biggest team in the world, not the money.

so why did he want 250k a week just a few seasons ago.
rooney here at 30 while he is still good enough to be playing for the big teams are you serious.

when ronaldo is 30 he will be earning 500+k a week (on a lower tax rate) and you think rooney will come back here.
anelka earns 8m+ a year and he is 33.
quite obviously he will go where the big money is

All speculation about what Rooney will do. I trust what LCAB and bluefox have to say over what you think might happen.

Woah...

And yes, was bang out of order.

Anyone , seriously , who thinks that Kid does NOT wish to right wrongs of younger years , AND whom considers that hel still need a shillin' when hes late 20s is patently smokin' better green than I am ..

An' that's not allowed .
