The Inevitable Return Of Wayne Rooney

Rooney came through our youth system and is a self proclaimed blue, he then **** all over us. which is fine as what football player in their right mind doesn't want to play for the team they support ffs. I can forgive him that though as he wanted to win trophies and we didn't look like being able to offer them, so he's a good ol' blue again. Lescott though christ we bought him off someone else and then sold him for a massive profit, the tit how dare he ffs. The mind boggles.

Cringing here.

I think I'm right in saying that if we didn't sell him we would have been in BIG trouble.

your'e dead on fella - unlike many i believe him going was one of the best things to happen to us!
don't get me wrong, i would have preferred it if we were in a position to keep him but we weren't, and with the cash we got from his sale (all profit) we were able to turn the club around.
many aren't happy where the club is now but it is in a damn sight better shape than what it would have been!
saying all this, i hope he does come back to play for us, even if it is for just a short while (as long as he could offer the team something) and i would be happy to cheer him on again.
i have always liked it when players go back/finish their careers to the clubs where they started - it shows respect.

cringe all you want lad, the more you post(and thats quite a lot) the more i realise you dont really know much about football your just a young boy shouting his loudest from the rooftops to be heard.

Wayne Rooney never forced a move and then let 6 goals in against Arsenal.
Wayne Rooney never moved for nothing but money (City were not trophy contenders when he went there)
Wayne Rooney was 18 years old.

Oh and give the whole 'you dont know anything about football' line a rest please, it's poor.

ok so lets pretend you do know a bit about football, maybe you would learn more if you actually listened to other peoples point of view once in a while instead of thinking your word is gold. If people on here don't agree with you you seem to enjoy playing i can shout louder than you. Listen thats all if you don't agree then maybe just maybe occasionally you can STFU and let somebody else have a say.

Funny that, because you're the only one of us who has told somebody to 'STFU'. Who's bossing who ?

Now Lescott, on the other hand. I hope the c**t dies. Well not really but i f***ing hate him.

Why?

Did you hate him when he signed for us? He wen't from playing for the team who brought him into the game and supported him through major knee surgery to us for a relatively low fee b ut one that made a difference for them.

He then built a reputation playing for a side that was a decent with an outside chance of winning minor trophies. He also generated a massive fee that could have been iused any number of ways to push the club forward.

Now he plays for a club with a realistic shout of winning every major honour in the game.

He has done nothing except advance his own career by pushing himself to achieve the limit of his potential. Anything he owed Everton was paid back many times over. And remember this, EFC are quite happy to paint anybody the bad guy, a now sadly departed welshman being the most obvious example of this stinking policy.

LCAB and Bluefox have both said the same thing. You know, the guys who provide the vast majority of spot on information to this forum ?

You could not believe them if you want, but then you might want to avoid this forum for the Summer, seeing as any reliable transfer info tends to come from those two.

LCAB said so? Why didn't someone mention this before. I can't read every post on this forum FFS.

LCAB is The Wolf from Pulp Fiction. Maximus Respect.

If it requires a large chunk o' change to bring him back then I think the answer is no. if not I would welcome him back home. Can't blame the kid for going off to attain the glory he could not get with us. I am sure he would have stayed if we had the funds and the means to challenge for titles.

It's not him leaving, it's the way he left.

Compare Lescott to Pienaar. Pienaar gave his all for us in every game, never complained, never forced a move. He simply played as he was expected to and when a bid came in he decided he wanted to leave.

Lescott forced a move for money (City weren't even in Europe when he went there), and took a big dump on us with his performances and general attitude towards the club. I'll never forgive him for that Arsenal game.
