The Tories did a great job: People that make £1000 per hour have convinced people that make £25 per hour that people who are on zero hours contracts are the problem.

£25 per hour
40 hour week
52 weeks a year

Err, that's 52k a year mate.

If you think people on 52k a year are the ones which made a difference in the election then you've lost the plot. Walk round Leigh and ask people who voted Tory for the first time how much they earn, and it'll be closer to half that

It is of course possible that you just need a new calculator ! Chances are though, that you've pinched that soundbite from somewhere and it was written by some metropolitan who's massively out of touch with reality and just wants to blame the working class.

Bit embarrassing seeing people protesting against am election result. Fair enough, you can be very upset and disappointed but it's not a good look running about the streets wasting the police's time. And you certainly cant claim to be a democrat.

They should spend their time helping turn labour into an electable party again. That would be far more beneficial.

I don’t think anyone will be intimidated by Giles, the vegan, sipping on his soy milk latte
Ok, but it's not me who is posting their objections of said protests!

So the working class didn't turn on each other? I earned 60k plus when I lived in the UK but still voted Labour because I wanted a better society for everyone, the Tories managed to turn the Labour heartland of North into an immigrant hating mob.

It's a valid point, one which noone is really going debate honestly. Would not be surprised if rest of world immigration is already outstripping EU immigration into the UK, but hey. And Listening to analyse on Wrexham falling to a Tory. Food banks and young professionals fleeing Cheshire because of rampant house prices, was the conclusion, stupid as stupid is...

actually I have no issue with people protesting and free speech, it’s a must for everyone on the left, centre or right and I’m deadly against it being shut down.

civil disobedience, which was on view again with these protests, I have concerns with.

( Genuinely ) good for you, but, again, how many people in places like Leigh ( who changed their vote ) do you think are on 52 to 60k a year ?

That soundbite is massively out of touch with the reality of peoples lives in that area. I'd wager 95%+ of the people who changed to voting Tory in Leigh would bite your hand off for the chance of earning £25 / hour.

I'm sure everything is going to be fine, immigration will fall fiscal wealth will drip down sercure jobs and affordable housing will be plenty, grandma and grandad won't have to wait to have their bed ulcers unpacked from their own faeces. Civil disobedience, it's going to be alright.

The streets of Leigh and Blythe will be paved with gold :)

Walking in a Tory wonderland....

Anybody who switches party after election is obviously suddenly announcing that they have different values and beliefs. Which I think should be treated with suspicion and they should definitely go before the public again.
which is exactly what Soubry failed to do, but she has ‘principles’? lol
