Quite. It seems Trump and Bannon are going to have to systematically murder several million Muslims and African-Americans before we've a right to be alarmed in any way.

It's quite telling really. An analysis was done of the two petitions created around Trump's visit to the UK (one for, one against), and the demographics of the two petitions matched entirely the demographics of the leave/remain sides of the Brexit vote.
It's perhaps no surprise, but I doubt many would have predicted what was dismissed by Gove, Johnson et al as 'project fear' would be quite as scary as this.
That for me is the crux. It's not just one thing - there seems to be a downer on everything currently.
The US, EU, France, Holland, S. China sea....

Some very simplistic outlooks on here about what constitutes far-right. So you encountered some morons online who spoke garbage they'd never say in person because they were playing the internet hard man and trying to get reactions? Big woop. That's no more a repressive of the far-right then the clowns calling for a left-wing armed revolution to overthrow the government are representative of the far-left, its superficial attention seeking BS.
Other's seem to equate 'White Christianity' with the far right! As church going Christian i find the idea that I'm represented by some joke church (more like a barn in most cases) in the deep south of the US which has a congregation of about twenty people who are nearly always the family of the imbred hick 'pastor' deeply disheartening. The other 'far-right Christian's' are nearly to a man non practicing and have hardly ever set foot in a church in their life. Are there bad Christian's? Yes, loads of them! But no more then Islam or any other faiths. It seems to me that people regularly confuse Christian's and Christianity with people who just hate Islam.

But still, there's something very uneasy st the moment.
Might not be a direct comparison. But there is a bit of bad feeling globally currently.
atm the country can be governed by a party with 35-40 % of the vote - first past the post - it will be even less when the boundary changes come in - making the General public not bothering to vote in an old futile system do they have PPR.or AVR in Scotland? If the public thought their vote may count they may go out to vote!
If the house of lords is ever on a vote system definitely PPR!

The same Catholic church that hid Jews and others fleeing from the Nazis in the Vatican, not to mention the tones of random churches that did likewise? I'm Catholic myself mate, I've never encountered anyone even remotely fascist within my church or any other I've visited. I'm sure there are some out there (what faith doesn't have some evil within it?) but I've never meet them or anyone even close to it.
