I for one have had enough of them. They're not big nor clever. It's not 'alt-right', let's call it what it is - pure fascism.

All decent people must not stand for a potential rise of this. History will not look favourably upon the silent. Protest peacefully, and make your voice heard. The world ain't perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but I feel there is more good than bad and we cannot stand by and watch it burn.

If you've ever asked yourself what you'd have done as a citizen in mid-1930's Germany to stop Hitler, now would be a good time to find out.

Feels like there's more than you'd realise, and friends and family that you didn't realise could be like this, the excuse for them to act and think this way is there for them in Trump, Brexit and other places now.

I am proper miserable about it all. And I usually vote to the right.

Far Right and Far Left are too generalising. And you're correct, we should say it as we see it. Facism is evil. Its threat should be taken very seriously.

Maybe it's just in human nature, conflict. I don't understand it. It's the most divisive the world has been in my lifetime anyway. Worrying times.

Easy solution. Let the centrists - whatever they call themselves - come up with a menu which is attractive to the bulk of the electorate.

I think the internet exaggerates the rise of the far right somewhat. Half the comments you read on articles, youtube etc are clearly written by young millenial cringe merchants who have just discovered politics for the first time and like repeating/parotting their favourite buzzwords they learned on 4chan and reddit such as 'cuck', 'libtard', 'snowflake', 'triggered' etc in order to get likes from similar people.

I doubt half of these people even care that much about what they are arguing about, they just do it for the windup opportunities.

Don't get me wrong, i know the far right movement is growing but i do think the internet gives a false representation/exaggerates how much its growing.

It's the emergence of right wing media outlets and the internet that has created and fueled the whole phenomenon.

Fox News is a right wing media outlet that many American's...primarily those in middle America...have latched onto as their only source of news. Sadly it's not news...it's editorial opinion. Their success has led to places like Breitbart being viewed as a legitimate media outlet.

The right wing media would have you believe that Obama was the devil incarnate and that our country is on the brink of collapse.
