I cant believe that Im saying this but while I prefer other players in his positions I think we should keep him as a squad player with a view to join backroom staff at a later date

Yeah, he's just cover...or should be. Everyone will start appreciating him when he's confirmed as that too. He's a safe pair of hands (unless it's against Liverpool, in which case he implodes and gves them OGs and penalties). It's when he starts a game that people become upset with him. Keep warming the bench, Phil.

Come on now, he gave us a fighting chance by displaying those safe hands on the line! Gamble didnt come off, but it still gave Howard a chance to save it!

I dont want to see him start too many league games but i wouldnt want to see him leave any time soon. I think his input and contribution behind the scenes is vital for the development of this squad. There is not too many players around with his experience of massive games to pass on to our inexperienced players. Id like to see him starting games like brentford away, where a lot of our fringe players like gueye and coleman might need an experienced voice beside them.

You know hes the first name on the team sheet next week!

* From the man who told you Coleman wouldnt start the season and Hetinga wouldnt play centre half.

What is it with you and Coleman? You've always had a downer on him and never given him a chance. Self-hating Irishmen syndrome I call it.

when i saw the thread title my heart soared. aaaah! yes no more nnneville, i hope he leaves and god forbid he has anything to do with us again, no coaching, no assistant toilet sweeper or even selling stinking badges outside the church- eff off neville for good - something stinks about the guy i tells ya

Would love to see him get a chance lads, for Ireland and us, just dont think it will happen in the next six games. He seems anointed now as an impact sub, which is progression.

The Trap seems intent on his Sean St Ledger single white female strategy - it frustrates more for Ireland then it does Everton as i rate Hibbert and Neville.

Neither Davey or the Trap are known for risk taking in their managiral style, unless its enforced.

You know this to be true.
