Quoted from the Sunday Herald:

As for the manager, the pinnacle of jobs in the world must be Old Trafford. In my mind there is no shadow of doubt that when Sir Alex chooses to retire David Moyes is far from unimaginable as his successor. As yet he might not have won a trophy but he’s top three in this division. For Everton it would be no shame to have the manager offered the chance to take over at United – just so long as we’ve won that trophy first.

WTF?!

We're here to service his old club? It'd be an "honour" for Everton to have their manger poached by United is what he's saying.

This feller has no ******* idea of the identity of the club he's captain of.

**** off Neville, you arsehole

someone posted negative thingys in my settings saying i was harsh on nneville, what they didnt know was i reigned myself in from the galling bile spewing rant i couldve guv him coz this is a family show. nnneville= rat

What the hell is this, so much for loyalty to your club and fans. The sooner Neville is given the shove the better, it shows that he is still a manure fan at heart.

I liked Captain Nev, and thought he was a decent player too. Now I hate him and he's [Poor language removed]. And the Moyles picked him for the last 3 or so years. MOYLES OUT

Neville's sacrifice on the goal line that day was exactly when I began to know he was ours.
i knew he wasnt ours before the blackburn match when he flicked the ball over dunn(?) who was already booked) who deliberately hand balled it, but neville took a quick free-kick instead of giving the ref a chance to 2nd yellow him, i think it was the andy johnson/ vaughan disallowed goal match, thats one in a long line of nneville f*** ups

Oh dear Phillip, and I was just so nice to you. I even overstated your footballing ability.

He should never captain us again. **** what Arteta and the OS say. What an arse.

Cue massive backtracking from pip in the next few days, saying everton job is the biggest in world football.

Too late phil, the damage is done.

Moyes has spent literally thousands of hours on the training pitch with Neville, and didn't cotton on to the fact that he was so past it he wasn't going to finish the season. I think Moyes is great at snapping up bargains when buying players, but I think he costs us millions in wages and missed fees by not selling/ "retiring" players at the most opportune moment. I'm not knocking Neville as a player (actually, who am I kidding, I am really, especially for the last few years) but I think the value for money that we get from some of the old guard is not worth it. Loads of our players have stayed on long past their best, and they tend to be on higher wages.
