The entire 2nd amanedment no but that isn’t to say some reform isn’t popular compared to the current status quo

I said this the other day. Surely a ban on these military grade assault rifles isnt infringing on the 2nd amendment. Otherwise that right would cover hand grenades and RPGs for gods sake.

So peoples rights to own guns isnt being infringed, its just that certain guns are illegal.

Am reserving judgment until more facts come out but there are certainly a lot of questions that need answers

There certainly is. It'll be interesting to see how all the events panned out, but as you mention it's probably correct to reserve judgement until we know more.

What concerns me the most is that apparently an off-duty Customs and Border Protection agent who engaged the shooter rather than a cop.

If the timings are to be correct, it's potentially even more damming.

No not hand grenades. Only if you had a grenade launcher that looked gun like could that be permitted. You’d really struggle to be accurate when trying to kill a deer by hand unless you had a baseball background.

Oh I am firmly in your camp re control. To me, as a Brit, its bonkers. Its just that I have used a shotgun a fair few times, (clay pigeon shooting with a pal), and as a fit adult, the recoil takes some getting used to. Heaven only knows what happens using the kit he did. Hence, I assume it was not his first use of such a weapon.

The recoil of an AR-15 is minimal, nothing like a 12-gauge shotgun

He doesn't mention guns once.
Just a whole load of "we as a nation need to do better".
You've got a platform, have the balls to use it.

Maybe someone needs to stock these weapons and if they are confiscated, take it all the way to the supreme court.

Makes you wonder though how certain weapons are banned or illegal even with the 2nd Amendment, yet apparently cant ban assault rifles?
