Talksport and Fake Everton fans

Your Bolton colleague sounds extremely ungrateful. Bet he doesn't even say "thanks" when you make him a cuppa.

Allardyce got them into the PL, and kept them there against the odds for 7 or 8 years. And he took them into Europe. It's not his fault his successor, Gary Megson, was a disaster, who incidentally broke the transfer record on that Swedish striker shortly after Allardyce left.

You can't expect Allardyce to keep running the club and vetoing future dodgy signings AFTER he has left. Sooner or later you have to stand on your own two feet.

That's what happens when someone leaves you with nothing though, you have to find money from somewhere to spend just to survive.

Anyway you've got nothing invested in Everton either financially or emotionally so I see no point why you're even on here, so for that - I'm out.

On what evidence, either statistical or experience based do you conclude that performances would get better. In over 500 matches as a manager his average win percentage is 35%. No way can this be described as great.

The top six Managers (all foreign by the way) are much higher than this.

Pep Guardiola 71%
Jose Mourinho 65%
Jurgen Klopp 50%
Mauricio Pochettino 46%
Antonio Conte 58%
Arsene Wenger 54%

And the recent managers that we have been linked with.

Laurent Blanc 66%
Marco Silva 52%
Paulo Fonseca 51%

This shows conclusively that the foreign fast paced approach combined with some premiership steel is the way forward. The Allardyce long ball, turgid, all behind the ball approach belongs in the past, not the future.
I do agree with you but a cynic would point out that all those managers have managed top sides......

You're comparing managers who have managed the biggest clubs in the country, with some of the biggest budgets in the world, to Sam Allardyce who has managed some of the smallest clubs in the country. Hardly a fair comparison.

No one can transform a club though in 4 and a half months, well some people might get lucky when all the right ingredients were already there that compliment their style, but it often doesn't last long.

What I would say though, is Allardyce is actually very similar to Mourinho, he just needs a break, and with a good preseason, and a few additions I think he's gonna surprise a few of you (if he stays). I think by hounding Big Sam out though, you might be missing out on an untapped gem who just needs an opportunity at a big club with a decent budget.

Allardyce has left every single one of his clubs in a better league position than when he joined. That is some record considering how many clubs he has managed. An astute tactician, good record in the transfer market, innovative behind the scenes, good motivator, wealth of experience, you're turning your nose up at someone who is pretty good at what he does!

So the last few days I've been listening to talksport and i noticed there 2-3 Everton fans on daily, however they seem to totally disagree with what the majority of us think, an i'm starting to think there all fake.

An example, there talking about the survey and an "Everton fan phoned us" He then proceed to say Sam done a fine job he signed Tosun, is that how you say his name? he should be given summer and Jan
He used words like them or they when referring to Everton. He isn't the 1st one to say stuff like that and i'm wondering Have any of you been on talksport and do you think these are Liverpool fans or actually Everton fans phoning in?
jet fuel doesn't melt metal beams either..

I give in......
I should have realised you were trolling me earlier. Either that or you are his lovechild.

Do we really have to play this game?

Conte started at Arezzo
Klopp started at Mainz
Wenger started at AS Nancy
Pochettino started at Espanyol
Blanc started at Bordeaux
Fonseca started at De Dezembro
And Pep and Mourinho were untried at top level before getting their jobs and performing brilliantly.

In other words, they have earned the right to manage top sides

All correct apart from pep, who hasn't really done anything without already having top top resources in place the complete fraud
