It just winds me up mate how people are up martinez's arse, if this was moyes in charge people would be criticising him and rightly so. So why the difference? what have we done this season that is making what I'm saying crap? Our performances have been awful and if Utd and the RS were the teams of the past we would have the 7th place trophy already, we are relying on other teams slipping up for us to stay in the mix and it's frustrating.

I think Martinez breeds a bit of positivity, Lille on Thursday was a superb performance. Today has brought us down a bit but it certainly wasn't the worse performance I have ever seen and I am sure there are going to even more bad performances, that is football.

Last season Martinez was a breath if fresh air, I am going to give more than 3 months into a new season where we have been up and down, mainly after the 3 of the 4 European games, to condemn Martinez into the realms of mediocrity.

This is a learning curve and new ground for our manager and I think at times people forget this and too quick to demand success now or you are not good enough.

Was it a pen?
And did Howard handle the ball out the box

Haven't seen them back

Happy with the point, thought it was a canny game
Yes pen, and should have been yellow minimum.
Howard didn't touch the ball with hands/arms.

Everton probably didn't deserve more than a point for that performance, fair result for me.

Who is up Martinez's arse? Show us why you're on this noble crusade please.

When it got 1-1, I was worried at that point, other than that I wasn't.

I was going mental at the pen and also screaming with the Howard one.

:)

Red and white specs and all that

I was set back when seeing what Roberto said. He's right in what he has said, Wickham should have certainly gone for the foul.

However, normally Roberto is much calmer, respectable and positive in what he says post match.

I've not actually seen the news conference, rather only the text, but it read more of almost a comment of desperation. Pleading for a red.

It may have changed the game significantly, yet it doesn't take away from the fact we were poor in general. We certainly didn't help ourselves.

Maybe I am reading into it too much, but I think he may be starting to slightly show some pressure over our league performance.

What he should be doing is berating one of his ex players for the shithouse possibly season ending tackle on Barry & the [Poor language removed] of a dive dive to earn a pen and possibly get Jags sent off...grow some Bobby say it as it is.
