6th April 1985, Everton 4-1 Sunderland, Andy Gray scored two of the best goals I've seen, Trevor Steven scored another (sublime pass from Bracewell). All three goals were nominated for Goal of the Season, I think. It keeps reappearing on ESPN. Marvellous(y)

What a game, and what a team. That pass from Bracewell was a volley from his own half, without looking. He just knew that Steven would be onto it. He then cut inside and buried it into the top corner. Andy Gray's diving header was the ultimate "bullet header". Typical Gray, it was only about 6 inches off the ground!!

Posted via Mobile Device Early 70's, taken there by my dad and uncle, i was about 10 or 11, home to Arsenal, 2-1 i think, coming from a small town all i clearly remember about the day is the atmosphere and being in awe about seeing so many people in one place ( att; 42;000 and something, that i do remember clearly )

Because i moved from Liverpool at an early age, my first game was against Coventry at Highfield Road in around 1977. We lost 3-2 . Half the pitch was snow. we were 3-0 down at half-time....they were the days of Latch, Lyons, Dobson ETC.........I was gutted but hey I was hooked.....

Everton vs Tranmere . FA Cup 1968 . Morrisey got both in a 2-0 win . Dont recall much aside from Bally not playing and the lights from the stand as we walked away after . Been a regular ever since .
Come on the 'ton .

I was nine and my uncle took me to Goodison in late Decemeber of 1990 to see us beat Derby 2-0. Mike Newell got the first from close range after the stand-in goalkeeper for the injured Peter Shilton spilt the ball. The second was a Pat Nevin header from a Neil McDonald cross.

Unfortunately when I was 14, I moved with my mum down to Devon. Been living here since 1996 and now I can only get up to Goodison twice a year.

arm of said jersey can be seen erect and cascading down the centre of the gwlady's street on the illustrious night against bayern munich.

The first professional game i ever attended was

Hertha Berlin vs Man City in the very early seventies

The first Spurs game i saw was vs Coventry Aug 12th 1972. 2-1 win (2 for Martin Peters).

The first Spurs game i attended on my own (with mates rather than the old man) was vs Newcastle 25th Aug 1976. Lost 0-2

The first time i ever saw Everton was at White Hart Lane on 23rd Oct 1976. 3-3 thiller (McAllister, Osgood & Pratt). No idea who scored for you fellas.

A very early memory for me. Think it was 94-95... me Dad was going the Southampton game at home and I was desperate to go, so even though I was 4 at the time I persuaded him to pay on the gate for me. I remember how Goodison looked like the biggest place in the world and felt like I was thousands of feet in the sky in the top balcony. I think the game finished 0-0... can't have been the most exciting affair because he tells me that when the half time whistle went, I got up thinking it was full time and then fell asleep in the 2nd half. Still, once Everton has touched You, nothing will ever be the same.
