Everton versus Liverpool, 1986 Charity Shield. Drew 1-1 Heath scored and then Ian [Poor language removed] Rush equalized.

I thank my step-dad (from Birkenhead) for Everton, as I was a 7 year-old American kid living in the UK now converted for life.

It was about 1958, 2 - 1 win against an up and coming Spurs, taken by a rs uncle, those were the days. [Poor language removed] I just realised I may have just done 50 years a blue. Can anyone say on what date in 1958 we beat Spurs 2 - 1?

The year, 1931.

I sat at the end with the goals facing the pitch.

Dean got a hattrick that day and I still remember the smell of the coal fires down mines.

Eyy up chuck. Fandabidosy.

First was a friendly between Everton and Columbus Crew in 2006. First REAL match was Everton-Liverpool derby at Goodison in 2006 (3-0). Game was doubly special as I was on my honeymoon (I insisted we visit Liverpool and take in a match at Goodison while in the UK). Atmosphere was fantastic!!

I think (getting on a bit) it was a game at White Hart Lane in the early 70s. I think we won, so that would make it '74? Look at this teamsheet from the game, brings back some memories of obscure players...

David Lawson
Mike Bernard
Steve Seargeant
John Hurst
Roger Kenyon
Dave Clements
Colin Harvey
Mick Buckley
Bob Latchford
Mick Lyons
John Connolly

I was visiting England with my parents and aunt and uncle in the summer of 2002. I had only one request and that was to go to a football game. My aunt is originaly from Liverpool and still has some family living there, her cousin got us tickets to the season opener against Tottenham, finished 2-2 draw. I believe it also happened to be Rooney's first appearance with the first team. More importantly I fell in love with Goodison and the team and have been a blue ever since. I guess I was lucky her cousin is a blue.

We lost to QPR at home, 1-3. It must have been 1977/78, or thereabouts. I think Latchford scored, but I could be wrong.
